Luke Skywalker's T-16 skyhopper was a personalized T-16 skyhopper that belonged to Luke Skywalker. On one occasion, when he was piloting his T-16 skyhopper, he almost died during a dangerous burnout attempt in Beggar's Canyon, and this incident fried the skyhopper's instruments, rendering it unusable. Because he didn't have a functional T-16 to fly, Skywalker began to occupy himself by playing with his model T-16. Skywalker's skills while flying his T-16 were exceptional, and he became a well-known figure in the area because of them.
