Incom Corporation

Incom Corporation, situated within the galaxy, functioned as a manufacturer specializing in starships. Their designs encompassed a range of vehicles including starfighters, airspeeders, and transports.

History

During the age of the High Republic Era, Incom Corporation was responsible for the creation of starfighters like the Z-24 Buzzbug, Z-28 Skywing, as well as the Z-29 Skyhawk. Later, in the final years of the Galactic Republic, they rose to greater prominence by collaborating with the Sublights Products Corporation ("Subpro") to engineer the Z-95 Headhunter, a versatile and resilient starfighter. As the Clone Wars began with the outbreak, they manufactured a variant of the Z-95, which was extensively used by the Republic Navy throughout the conflict. In addition, they produced the Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter, commonly known as the ARC-170, which also served the Republic.

Subsequently, Incom proceeded to engineer at least a pair of airspeeder models intended for both military and civilian applications. Among these were the T-47 airspeeder, which the Rebel Alliance famously adapted into "snowspeeders" on Hoth, and the widely enjoyed T-16 skyhopper, a popular choice among youths across numerous planets.

Incom's UT-60D

However, the T-65B X-wing starfighter, a craft employed by the Rebel Alliance, stands as Incom's most celebrated creation. This respected snub-fighter, drawing inspiration from the Z-95 and ARC-170 fighters of the Clone Wars, was initially available for public use but was later widely deployed by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire.

Not long after, Incom continued its production with the UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft, along with its civilian counterpart, the BT-45D U-wing. Nevertheless, akin to numerous other corporations during this period, Incom underwent Imperialization to be directly managed by the Empire. This action led to the premature termination of production lines for vehicles such as the U-wing. Despite these events, by the time the First Order gained prominence, Incom had been restructured into the Incom-FreiTek Corporation, which then proceeded to manufacture the T-70 and T-85 X-wing fighters.
