The Z-24 Buzzbug, often simply called the Buzzbug, represented a starfighter model produced by Incom Corporation and saw service within the ranks of the Malastare-Sullust Joint Task Force. This single-pilot spacecraft was already operational for a period exceeding four decades prior to 232 BBY, the year Hedda Casset enlisted as a pilot within the aforementioned task force. By the time 232 BBY arrived, the Republic Defense Coalition had transitioned to utilizing Z-28 Skywings.
The inaugural reference to the Z-24 Buzzbug appeared within the pages of the 2021 published novel, The High Republic: Light of the Jedi.
