Lyr Farseeker became a member of the Jedi Order, even though he wasn't particularly strong in the Force. He eventually achieved the status of Jedi Master. He authored Poetics of a Jedi along with many other writings that turned into essential lessons for the Order. Poetics was destined to be among the sacred Jedi texts gathered by the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and later possessed by Rey. Within the pages of the book, he stated that while a Jedi's mind has the ability to move mountains, their heart has the power to move souls.
