The Malkite poisoners comprised a clandestine society of assassins. These poisoners had operated for countless millennia, prompting frequent jests that they were responsible for any unsolved homicides. Reportedly, Nack Movers, a perilous individual within Coruscant's underworld, received training as a Malkite poisoner.

Following the death of Admiral Jyrom Ottdell of the Galactic Empire due to zolall extract, a unique toxin employed by the society, Imperial Security Bureau Agent Andressa Divo commenced an inquiry into the Malkite poisoners. After she requested two dozen "Malkite poisoner kits" from the seedier parts of the HoloNet, only a single kit turned out to be authentic. This genuine kit included an inscription on the zolall poison's dosage label, which threatened Agent Divo's ongoing investigation.

Kilitz and Kling, known as "The Twins," were documented as Malkite poisoners. They participated in the Malkite land acquisition as tunnelers.
