Mantessa, a world located in the Orus sector of the Inner Rim, was classified as a planet. This world was almost entirely covered in dense forests and perilous jungles. The planet's wildlands were exceptionally hazardous because of the presence of the Mantessan panthacs, fearsome predators that were highly effective hunters in their native habitat.
During the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Orange Panthacs successfully driven off a group of Fire Breathers from the surface of the planet.
In the PC game Star Wars: Rebellion, a factual error places the Orus sector, and therefore Mantessa, within the Outer Rim Territories. Furthermore, the in-game description of Mantessa suggests a complete jungle environment, omitting any reference to forests.
