Mar Rugeyan was a Human male, who held the position of Senate Head of Public Affairs throughout the Clone Wars. His office could be found on the 391st floor of the Support Services Center, located on Coruscant.
During the Galactic City spaceport hostage siege in 22 BBY, he fulfilled the role of media relations coordinator. His actions during this event caused Kal Skirata, the special security advisor, to become angered when Rugeyan was heard referring to clone commando Fi as a "grunt" soon after Fi's heroic rescue. Skirata challenged him on this remark, but Rugeyan dismissed Skirata with arrogance, stating that only the hostage Senator was of importance. Skirata then grabbed Rugeyan in a sensitive area to gain his undivided attention and demanded that he vacate the scene, which Rugeyan promptly did.
Interestingly, Rugeyan did not appear to bear any ill will towards Skirata or the Cuy'val Dar following this incident. One year later, he demonstrated his willingness to assist Skirata by providing cooperation during another anti-terror operation that occurred on Coruscant.
