Marca was a world covered in swamps and classified as a planet. The Imperial Army swamp trooper Corporal Danith Nodar was serving on Marca until 10 BBY. Due to insubordination, she was removed from her position and reassigned to the Mimban Campaign on the planet Mimban, a transfer that she perceived as disciplinary action.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the first reference to Marca occurred in the 2018 publication Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, authored by Pablo Hidalgo. The planet Marca was initially introduced within the Star Wars Legends continuity. Its debut was in Planet of the Mists, a 1992 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game created by Nigel D. Findley and released by West End Games.
