Marus Timpel

Marus Timpel was a Jedi Master of the Human species, identified as male, who dedicated his life to the service of the Jedi Order. His time with the Order concluded roughly six centuries before the Clone Wars began.

Biography

Marus Timpel, born on Coruscant, spent his formative years within the walls of the Jedi Temple. There, he developed his inherent Force powers via training at the Temple academy. His dedication eventually led to his ascension to the esteemed rank of Jedi Master. As a recruiter for the Order, Timpel frequently journeyed across the galaxy, acting on behalf of the Jedi High Council and aligning himself with the will of the Force. During a routine assignment on the planet Antar 4, Timpel encountered a Gotal whose application to the Jedi Order had been previously denied – an action, in fact, carried out by Timpel himself.

This Gotal, named Kaskutal, displayed none of the resentment often found in those rejected by the academy. Kaskutal maintained a deep respect for the Order and had achieved significant success as a businessman. Timpel and Kaskutal quickly formed a bond of friendship, and the Jedi confided his frustrations about the limitations placed on his access to resources due to his Jedi status. Upon hearing this, Kaskutal took the initiative to gather the necessary funds to establish an organization that could assist the Jedi Order, easing some of Timpel's burdens.

The organization that Kaskutal brought into existence became known as the Antarian Rangers. As it grew and its influence spread, it expanded beyond the boundaries of Antar 4, attracting increasing numbers of individuals who shared an admiration for the Jedi and a desire to support them in any way possible. Throughout the remainder of his time as a Jedi, Timpel was often in the company of Kaskutal, whose resources and minor Force-sensitivity proved invaluable on numerous occasions.

Following Timpel's passing into the Force, Kaskutal transitioned into an administrative role, overseeing the Rangers' operations. His exceptional business acumen and managerial skills ensured the organization's financial stability and facilitated its continued growth. Even long after Timpel's death, the organization he helped to establish continued to thrive, providing assistance to the Jedi Order throughout the challenging periods of the Clone Wars, the rise of the Galactic Empire, and well into the era of the New Republic.
