Masakene, a Da-Vlunnian by birth, held the position of chief steward under Skarabda the Wise. Skarabda was the primary diplomatic representative for the Hutt Clan throughout the High Republic Era. One year following the destruction of Starlight Beacon, Masakene extended a welcome to Affanar, a representative from the Nihil, on Ballum, so that Affanar could meet with Skarabda.
