Skarabda

Skarabda, often referred to as Skarabda the Wise, was a female Hutt who held the esteemed position of chief diplomatic envoy for the Hutt Clan. Later, during the High Republic Era, she ascended to the role of Hutt Overseer.

Biography

Early Life

During the High Republic Era, Skarabda, a Hutt, functioned as the primary diplomatic envoy of the Hutt Clan. She was also the sibling of Myarga Anjiliac Atirue, a prominent figure representing the Clan during the High Republic period.

Peace Negotiation

Following Myarga's alliance with the Republic to combat the Drengir, Padawans Farzala Tarabal and Qort, accompanied by Jedi Master Obratuk Glii, journeyed to Nal Hutta aboard the chartered starship Vessel. Their mission was to broker a lasting peace agreement between the Hutts and the Galactic Republic.

The meeting transpired in Bilbousa, where Skarabda's security chief, Ishnar Ti-Kharatal, along with her subordinates, greeted the Vessel. Skarabda welcomed Tarabal and Leox Gyasi, the pilot of the Vessel, into her palace. However, before negotiations could commence, the Vessel initiated an attack on the palace, which Skarabda interpreted as an act of betrayal. Ishnar and her henchmen pursued Tarabal and Gyasi as they fled the palace.

Outside, the Drengir launched an assault on Bilbousa. Skarabda retreated into her palace, accompanied by Jabba, who criticized her failure to defend the capital of the Hutt homeworld. Skarabda explained her hope that the Drengir attack would entice the Jedi to assist them. Tarabal and Gyasi, having escaped from the palace dungeons, reappeared with Ishnar. Tarabal asserted that the Jedi were not involved in the attack, a claim Ishnar confirmed. Tarabal stated his need to locate the Vessel, but Skarabda responded that communications were active and she could contact Master Obratuk.

Master Obratuk then appeared via hologram, displaying the subdued Gargo, Torvor, and Kvar, who had infiltrated the Vessel. Skarabda recognized them as Jabba's henchmen, realizing their involvement in the palace attack. Jabba's plan was for the Drengir attack to destabilize Bilbousa, removing Skarabda from power and ending the Hutt/Jedi alliance. Following this incident, negotiations resumed, with Tarabal representing the Jedi Order in advocating for the continuation of the alliance against the Drengir.

Meeting with the Nihil

At some point following the Drengir's defeat, Skarabda, now known as the Hutt Overseer, convened with a Nihil envoy on Ballum. She was attended by a steward named Masakene, and a mysterious hooded bodyguard who was later discovered to be former Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee. The arrival of a Republic Longbeam and its Jedi team interrupted Skarabda's discussions with the envoy Affanar, as they aimed to prevent a Hutt-Nihil alliance.

Personality and traits

Skarabda's behavior was reflective of a true chief diplomatic envoy, demonstrating consistency and insight in her duties.

She demonstrated confidence in Ishnar, her head of security, by inquiring about her belief in the Jedi, thereby revealing her trust in the Nikto.

The Hutt bore a scar above her right eye.
