Massacre on the galleon

The incident aboard the galleon occurred when Saadoon-Kauldi eliminated a group of enslavers for their cruel treatment of captives, subsequently freeing the enslaved individuals.

History

Sometime prior to 10 BBY, Saadoon-Kauldi, a rising figure within the Kadri'Ra criminal underworld, was in the process of establishing his own criminal organization centered around the spice trade.

During a voyage through space aboard one of his vessels, accompanied by a team of smugglers, they happened upon a galleon operated by a band of slavers. Saadoon-Kauldi's crew boarded the vessel and observed the terrible circumstances in which the captives were held.

Having previously been enslaved himself, Saadoon-Kauldi became enraged and violently murdered the entire slaver crew. Following this, he set all the slaves free.

Much to his astonishment, the freed slaves pledged their allegiance and service to Saadoon-Kauldi. The Kadri'Ra realized that this amplified his own power and reputation. Considering himself morally superior to those he had killed, Saadoon-Kauldi resolved to treat his newly acquired followers with considerable respect.

Furthermore, this confrontation motivated Saadoon-Kauldi to allocate resources, for a time, toward liberating an even greater quantity of enslaved people.
