The initial "Design an Alien" submission. A Star Wars enthusiast named Matthew Berry, along with Craig Farr, conceived Brock Lar, Gryphon, and Martika for the "Design An Alien" competition featured in the Star Wars Galaxy Magazines. Berry's submission garnered an honorable mention within the 16+ age group. At the time of publication, he was an 18-year-old.
