The year 8 ABY marked a significant event for the Maxion: its initial encounter with off-worlders aboard the New Republic ship, the FarStar. Subsequently, it provided transport for the New Republic delegation to Caballa City. Later, Captain Darr and the New Republic utilized the Maxion to deploy a strike team with the objective of rescuing Captain Kaiya Adrimetrum.
