Meelo was a female Rodian who made her home on the planet Cularin during the time that the Clone Wars raged. When an acquaintance of hers was captured by the Metatheran Cartel and held within a Cartel building located on Cularin, Meelo, along with several allies—a Jedi, a Twi'lek who scavenged for a living, the Jawa known as Keth-Keth, and the Wookiee Roorrrwiir—resolved to liberate their imprisoned friend. They initially attempted to talk their way into the building, but this strategy backfired, and the Cartel's security personnel ejected them. As Meelo and her companions convened in a speeder to strategize their subsequent actions, a pair of swoops unexpectedly approached from behind, leading Roorrrwiir, caught off guard, to inadvertently steer the speeder directly into the Cartel's facility. Meelo and the others quickly exited the vehicle and sliced into the building's mainframe, successfully freeing their friend. However, their escape was complicated by the arrival of an Office of Peace and Security speeder just as they were about to leave. To avoid arrest, Meelo's comrades launched stun grenades at the approaching vehicle, and Keth-Keth defaced the OPS speeder with graffiti, intending to falsely attribute the attack to the "Wookiee Liberation Front," a name he spontaneously invented. This spur-of-the-moment creation, the WOLF, eventually evolved into a real organization, and Meelo preferred to keep her role in the group's "formation" a secret.
Later, Meelo and Keth-Keth traveled to the city of Hedrett on Cularin, where two clone troopers were harassing the Jawa. After Keth-Keth retaliated with a stun glove, causing a disturbance, Meelo sought refuge in the Crosstown Bar situated in Gadrin, hoping to wait for the situation to calm down. While there, she engaged in a game of sabacc with a Bimm, and she recounted the origin story of the WOLF to her fellow gambler.
