Megan Ilnitzki, an American author and editor of children's books, was born on November 21, 1991. From May of 2014 to August of 2017, she worked at Disney Publishing Worldwide, starting as an Editorial Assistant and later becoming an Assistant Editor. While at Disney, Ilnitzki edited young reader Star Wars books and penned one short story for the Disney–Lucasfilm Press brand.
In 2015, Ilnitzki authored the short story "Do or Do Not," an adaptation of Luke Skywalker's Jedi training with Yoda as depicted in the 1980 original trilogy film, Star Wars_: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The title comes from Michael Siglain's stand-alone World of Reading book Use the Force!, and it uses the same artwork. "Do or Do Not" first appeared in the 2015 compilation, Star Wars Galactic Adventures.
