Small metal cylinders known as micro-fuses served as components within cybernetic systems on the world of At Attin. A micro-fuse was part of the resonator housing within the head augments of the youngling called KB. During their time on Lanupa, KB experienced a loss of movement because the steam at the mud pits of the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa caused corrosion to her micro-fuse. Had the situation continued, she would have suffered complete paralysis, leading to her death. To avert this outcome, Wim offered his assistance. KB guided him in the creation of a replacement micro-fuse by melting wires taken from a droid servomotor inside a cup using a torch. Wim then poured the molten metal into a mold, thus fabricating the new micro-fuse. He then proceeded to place the new component into the resonator housing located in her head, thus preventing a complete system failure.
The debut of mirco-fuses occurred in "Zero Friends Again," the sixth episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a live–action series available on Disney+, which premiered on December 31, 2024.
