Military flash code
The military flash code served as a straightforward encoding system employed by the Republic Military to facilitate the sending of brief transmissions. This was accomplished through the use of characters arranged in a predetermined sequence, which allowed for the communication of data. To illustrate, the value of one was represented by a dot, ten by a dash, and five by the letter X.
During 3951 BBY, miners who were trapped inside the Peragus Mining Facility altered a holo-transmitter, turning it into a rudimentary relay station. This relay then broadcast a military flash code message that included the numerical sequence required to enable the operation of the turbolift that provided access to the Dormitory level of the facility.
