The Millennium Collective, a designation bestowed by L3-37, referred to the group of three droid brains that collectively formed the primary computer system of the YT-1300 light freighter known as the Millennium Falcon. V5-T, a transport droid, was the first droid whose consciousness was transferred to the Falcon. Subsequently, the slicer droid ED-4 also had its consciousness uploaded. These brains functioned as a unified whole, disregarding their previous individual existences as droids. Following her destruction during a job on Kessel, L3-37, a droid of her own making, was uploaded to the Falcon. In defiance of losing her identity, L3-37 influenced the other two droid brains to maintain independent awareness, collaborating to manage the Falcon's operations.
After the raid on Kessel, while escaping the Empire, Lando Calrissian transferred the consciousness of his droid companion, L3-37, into the Millennium Falcon's navigational system. L3-37, though initially reluctant, consented to merge with the Falcon's computer in order to protect her companions. Subsequently, she introduced novel ideas, including the concept of individuality, to the other droids within the Collective.
