Mimbanese Mudslide

Mimbanese Mudslide was a creamy pudding concocted by Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs. The brown dessert's inspiration came to the chef from the mud found on the planet Mimban. Tuggs credited the deep and complex taste to the use of completely natural components. These ingredients resulted in a smooth, velvety, and flavorful treat that would even appeal to the native [Mimbanese](/article/mimbanese] inhabitants of Mimban. A white topping adorned the pudding, and green nectrose crystals were sprinkled on top of the white layer.

In the year 34 ABY, Tuggs included the recipe for Mimbanese Mudslide in his cookbook, The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook. Within the cookbook, he stated that he had no plans to return to Mimban, despite the planet's influence on the dessert. He also made it clear that while pudding might not seem like a sophisticated choice, the mudslide was unlike the heavily processed "glop" that could be found in ration packs.

Behind the scenes

The Mimbanese Mudslide first appeared in the 2019 recipe book titled Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook. The book was written by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe calls for ingredients such as milk, earl grey tea, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, kosher salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, cornstarch, whipped cream, crumbled chocolate cookies, and nectrose crystals. The book even provided a separate recipe for the nectrose crystals.
