In the year 6 BBY, the group known as the Partisans embarked on a task that took them to the Mid Rim world of Inusagi. Saw Gerrera, who led the Partisans, was employed by Arane Oreida to carry out this operation. Gerrera, along with his Partisans, managed to get into the sakoola blossom festival held on Inusagi, accompanied by Arane and her partisans, by utilizing counterfeit invitations made by Jyn Erso. Upon gaining entry through the chieftess's palace, they proceeded to slaughter all of the festival attendees with flechette launchers. During an attempt to flee the palace, one of Gerrera's soldiers, Maia, met her end at the hands of a stormtrooper.
