One of the initial assignments for Jaden Korr was the Mission to Mos Eisley. Kyle Katarn, his instructor, anticipated the mission could turn dangerous, so he chose to accompany him. Their purpose was to probe into illicit trade operations within Mos Eisley to ascertain if connections existed between the smugglers, the mercenaries, and the Disciples of Ragnos.
Within the hangar, Katarn and Korr spotted the famed Millennium Falcon, but neither Han Solo nor Chewbacca were present. Observing some dubious-looking freelance cargo ships, Katarn made the decision to visit the Krayt Cantina to seek assistance from his contacts. Korr received orders to guard the hangar's entrance and apprehend anyone attempting to enter.
It was there that he encountered Chewbacca, who was being pursued by mercenaries. Chewbacca's presence was due to diplomatic talks with Leia Organa and, presumably, Han Solo. Korr aided Chewbacca in overcoming his attackers, but the mercenaries managed to engage tractor beams on both the Millennium Falcon and the Raven's Claw, preventing their departure. Korr and Chewbacca resolved to reach the administration tower to disable the tractor beams, but an explosion caused them to separate.
While Chewbacca fended off a group of mercenaries, Korr battled his way into the administration tower, where he faced a Sith Cultist whom he easily defeated in a lightsaber fight. Subsequently, Korr deactivated the tractor beams and reunited with Chewbacca and, eventually, Katarn, who suspected that the Imperial Remnant was providing support to the Disciples of Ragnos.
In Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, the rendered model of the Millennium Falcon during this mission is not accurately scaled; the ship appears significantly smaller than its actual size.
The missions within Jedi Academy are organized into three sets, each containing five levels, with one or two 'boss' encounters interspersed. Players have the freedom to choose the order in which they tackle the levels within each set. Consequently, despite being listed first in the initial group, the Mos Eisley level is not necessarily Jaden's first undertaking.
The Mission to Mos Eisley, along with the Mission to Chandrila, which occurs much later in the game, were the two missions featured in the demo version of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
Droids resembling C-3PO and R2-D2 are visible within the control room for the tractor beam.
