Following the conclusion of the Thrawn campaign, the New Republic undertook the operation known as the Mission to Sarahwiee.
Not long after the demise of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the New Republic Intelligence discovered that the Empire was conducting research into advanced weapons technologies on Sarahwiee. Consequently, the Page's Commandos were assigned to infiltrate the Imperial installation. Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, accompanied them on this endeavor. The commandos initially traveled to Garos IV to meet with Captain Tere Metallo of the Star Quest, a free-trader who offered his freighter as an alternate means of escape. Both ships were stocked with provisions before linking up with an Imperial informant who supplied them with hyperspace coordinates for Sarahwiee; they journeyed to the planet posing as traders.
The commandos received orders to obliterate the base's research facilities, manufacturing plants, and storage areas, as well as to upload several viruses into the main computer network. They divided themselves into three teams, with Luke Skywalker leading a fourth.
During the undertaking, the Jedi encountered Alexandra Winger, a Garosian resistance fighter who had infiltrated the base aboard the Star Quest to extract a prisoner detained at the facility. The blue-eyed man of her dreams consented to assist her, and together they managed to liberate doctor Carl Barzon. However, Luke and Alex were discovered in the hangar by Imperial forces but, with the assistance of the Star Quest crew, Captain Metallo and Gil Crosear, they successfully neutralized all adversaries.
All four teams achieved their objectives, successfully escaping the planet before the explosions caused by the planted charges occurred.
Alex Winger's actions drew the New Republic's attention to the situation on Garos IV, ultimately leading to the liberation of the planet.
