Mon Cala's moon

The satellite orbiting the planet Mon Cala resided within the Mon Calamari system. Its location was specified as grid U-6 on the Standard Galactic Grid, placing it within the Calamari sector of the Outer Rim Territories, specifically within the region called the Slice. The moon lacked an atmosphere and its surface consisted of desolate rock.

Behind the scenes

The initial reference to the moon occurred within established Star Wars canon in the ninety-seventh issue of the weekly publication, Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon. De Agostini released this issue circa November 9, 2016. The moon of Mon Cala originally debuted in the Star Wars Legends timeline, initially appearing in Kevin J. Anderson's 1994 book, Dark Apprentice. The designation "Dac's Moon" was first used in Sean Williams's 2010 novelization of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II video game.
