The Monitor, an Imperial EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, spearheaded a repair endeavor following the damage sustained by Garreth Holtz's flagship, the Corrupter.
The Monitor served as an escort for a convoy of freighters heading toward the Mev system to link up with the Corrupter. Nevertheless, the Monitor's protection was not enough when a Rebel strike group ambushed and annihilated the majority of the convoy at a transit location just outside the system. The Monitor, along with a few surviving vessels, reached the Mev system where an attempt was made to transfer a hyperdrive technician team to the Corrupter. Once more, the Monitor failed to impede the Rebels as they eliminated the remaining convoy ships and then proceeded to obliterate the Lambda-class shuttles transporting the technicians. Ace Azzameen destroyed her during this battle.
The total annihilation of the convoy and the technicians severely impacted the already compromised Corrupter, preventing it from halting the Defiance Task Force's escape from the Anoat sector.
Players have the opportunity to destroy the Monitor during the Battle of Bettel. Given the ship's absence from other parts of the game and any other source, its destruction is highly probable.
