The Monumenters, operating during the Galactic Civil War, were a band of lawbreakers primarily composed of smugglers and bandits located on Corellia.
Following the Battle of Yavin, the Monumenters found themselves engaged in direct clashes with both the Corellian Security Force and Beldonna's League.
During 1 ABY, the Monumenters sought to establish a collaborative criminal venture with the Chirq Council for the purpose of spice dealing on Corellia. A gathering was arranged close to Doaba Guerfel; however, a CorSec operative, having infiltrated the Chirq Council, managed to attend. This agent of CorSec launched an assault, eliminating those present, and subsequently absconded with a shipment of spice. The spacer later went back to Jzoro Quanera, the Chirq Council underboss, and pinned the blame on the Monumenters for the deaths of his people and the theft of the spice.
Within Sony Online Entertainment's Star Wars Galaxies, a MMORPG, the Monumenters represent one of numerous minor criminal factions. They inhabit the wilds of Corellia, where the game's NPC generation mechanics periodically generate small clusters of Monumenter bandits, marauders, and smugglers. Players can improve their standing with CorSec and Beldonna's League by defeating these enemies.
