Moon-yos, alternatively written as moonyos, were beings that lived on an isolated island called Pabu. The island's elders claimed that moon-yos were living on Pabu before the arrival of humans.
In approximately 18 BBY, some moon-yos were playing near the residence of mayor Shep Hazard when they detected vibrations beneath the island's surface. This event triggered panic, and they scattered as the vibrations resulted in a sea surge.
