Mooring tower

Mooring towers at the Jedi Temple precinct A mooring tower served as a docking point, enabling a starship to connect outside of a designated hangar area. During the closing decades of the Galactic Republic era, these towers were situated on Coruscant and facilitated larger vessels in the Jedi Temple's vicinity. Years afterward, the Emperor's Tower, which extended from the northern pole of the second Death Star, was actually a modified Imperial mooring tower design.
