Espionage droids of the Morrt-class were created under the orders of Warlord Zsinj for his initiative, Project Morrt.

These droids, compact and box-like in shape, possessed four small arms and an exterior capable of changing color. A Morrt-class droid would latch onto the exterior of a starship to monitor its trajectory. Utilizing its built-in hypercomm system, the droid transmitted the gathered tracking information to Zsinj's forces. Periodically, the Morrt droid would relocate to different ships, employing its limbs, each measuring half a meter, to grip and reattach itself. The color-shifting exterior served as camouflage, enabling the droid to blend in with the hull of the targeted vessel.

The data acquired from the Morrt droids facilitated the deployment of empion mines. Several droids played a role in pinpointing the location of the New Republic base situated on Folor. One such Morrt-class droid was affixed to a brand-new X-wing when it was assigned to Wraith Squadron. During an ambush in the Xobome system, the EMP/ion pulse from an empion mine disabled this particular droid. This event allowed Kell Tainer the opportunity to examine the droid and transmit its data to the New Republic Defense Fleet.

Subsequently, the New Republic capitalized on these droids, using them to disseminate false information to Zsinj's forces. Following the destruction of the Implacable, it is probable that the production of Morrt-class parasite droids was discontinued entirely.
