Mount Gethzerion represented a mountain linked to Mother Talzin of the Dathomirian Nightsisters. After Talzin's offspring, Maul, was exiled to the scrap-heap world of Lotho Minor, he schemed to draw salvager Captain Spikewheel to the planet with the goal of commandeering their starship and fleeing to Mount Gethzerion. Nevertheless, Spikewheel's team uncovered the scheme, thus thwarting Maul's efforts.
The initial reference to Mount Gethzerion occurred within the canon comic book Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle 1, penned by Cavan Scott and released during 2019. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Gethzerion served as the designation for a Nightsister chieftain from the Singing Mountain Clan, initially presented in the 1994 publication, The Courtship of Princess Leia.
