Mronk was a male Wookiee existing in the Cularin system near the end of the Galactic Republic; his gender was male.
Alongside the female Wookiee Rroorgli, Mronk was a co-manager of the Comet Broom Service. This service was responsible for observing and eliminating hazardous comets in the vicinity of the Cularin comet cloud, operating from their headquarters at Artom Station, where both Wookiees maintained their offices. During the era of the Clone Wars, Mronk and Rroorgli were employed by Garth Ezzar, a Dark Jedi who had disguised himself as Jedi Master Lanius Qel-Bertuk. Ezzar's intention was for them to commence the Cometary Water Reclamation Project, a scheme purportedly aimed at directing a comet into the atmosphere of the planet Almas.
Following damage to the freighter Fricasseed Nerf due to inaccurate information provided by the Comet Broom Service, the Heroes of Cularin were contracted to conduct an inquiry, leading them to visit Mronk and Rroorgli at Artom Station. The Wookiees refuted any culpability and furnished the heroes with a duplicate of some data previously given to Cularin SpaceNav. Shortly thereafter, Ezzar murdered both Mronk and Rroogli in order to conceal the Cometary Project.
