Muptupp, a Human of the male gender, was a member of the Indobok Pirates, serving under the command of Captain Huba. He had previously worked as a cook alongside the other members of the crew, but Olag Greck falsely accused the cooks of trying to poison Boonda the Hutt, leading to their imprisonment in a crystal mine. Following his escape, Muptupp aided in the theft of the Tharen Wayfarer from the Pitareeze family. Subsequent to a vump-shugga race, when Huba declined to accept the Captain's pendant from C-3PO, Muptupp upheld the pirate code, which stipulated that rejecting the pendant meant the captaincy was forfeited.
