Murder tax

"Murder tax" is what they called the levy that Jabba the Hutt, a crime lord from the Outer Rim, placed on the planet Tatooine, a desert world, when a murder occurred. In an effort to dodge this tax, lawbreakers would occasionally conceal the corpses of those they had deceased so that Jabba would remain unaware of the crime.
