The male Human worked alongside Murl as a colleague at the Odionate cloister situated on Vanahame back in 1032 BBY. He and Murl shared the duty of regulating the artificial illumination within the Cloister's rooms, which sheltered a multitude of children confined within bubble-like containers. As the Battle of Vanahame unfolded, both he and Murl received directives to extinguish all the lights in the Cloister, thus creating total darkness and causing widespread terror and hysteria among the children. These adverse feelings empowered Sith Lord Odion to trigger the Helm of Ieldis, an age-old Sith artifact with the power to incite murderous rage in sentient beings. Odion's ambition was to unleash a galactic cataclysm, but his plans were foiled by a reformed Beld Yulan, who eliminated Murl's coworker and compelled Murl to reactivate the lights and liberate the children. This action brought an end to the Helm's murderous rampage, resulting in its overload and the death of Odion.
