Murr Danod
Murr Danod was an Ithorian who existed during the Galactic Republic's waning years. His first name meant the Murr species, while his last name meant winemaker. Employed as a smuggler, he was affiliated with a trade guild that operated from an Ithorian Herdship. In 32 BBY, Danod was present at the Mos Espa Grand Arena on the planet Tatooine for the annual Boonta Eve Classic Podrace. From his vantage point in the stands, the Ithorian observed the Dug Podracer Sebulba as he finished the first of the three laps.
Danod's eyes were white, and his skin was the same shade of gray as the morality of the items he smuggled. Despite his involvement in such activities, he was a peaceful being who dealt honestly with his clients. Danod was also Force-attuned and enjoyed watching Podracing events.
Behind the scenes
The character of Murr Danod made his debut in the 1999 motion picture Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Although initially without a name, the character received identification on a card found in the 2001 Coruscant Limited expansion for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game.
