Myykians constituted a race of elephantine human-like beings inhabiting the galaxy. This species was characterized by its blue skin and an elephant-like build, featuring a lengthy trunk-like nose and a pair of eyes. Some members also had a head of hair. The youngling named Neel, along with his relatives, belonged to this particular species.
The Myykian race was conceived specifically for the character Neel, who is featured in the live-action television show Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Robert Timothy Smith plays Neel, employing a blend of facial motion capture during on-set performances while wearing a costume, along with an animatronic head. Amidst discussions among fans regarding whether Neel was an Ortolan akin to Max Rebo, Leland Chee from the Lucasfilm Story Group clarified that Neel's species represented a distinct alien lineage. This was later corroborated by the show's creator, Christopher Ford. The species' official designation was ultimately revealed on January 16, 2025, following the season's concluding episode, "The Real Good Guys," through Collider.
