N'tain Xalis functioned as an agent fighting for the Rebel Alliance throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War.
Xalis oversaw the Sandwind Team cell, a group of eleven operatives. From a farm situated on Motesta, located on Tatooine, they coordinated Rebel operations within the Arkanis sector. They also relied on informants and unofficial auxiliary agents.
Despite Xalis's preference for operating discreetly, Tatooine presented challenges. The quest to locate the Death Star schematics, and later the pursuit of Adar Tallon, disrupted Xalis's endeavors. Subsequently, a renegade Tusken Raider, known as the Jundland Banshee, damaged Xalis's equipment, specifically communication sub-anchors 3 and 12. Furthermore, the Banshee's actions risked attracting increased security forces, like additional stormtroopers, potentially leading to the downfall of Sandwind team.
For a certain duration, Xalis was compelled to journey to the Elus sector. During this absence, Rebel officer Adazian Liebke took over Xalis's responsibilities, and also encountered difficulties with the Jundland Banshee. Xalis further aided Tay Vanis in finding refuge while he was being pursued by Moff Murquan.
Ultimately, Xalis authored a report for the Task Force on Alliance Security, detailing the menace posed by the Jundland Banshee. Liebke and Vanis provided their support to Xalis during this process.
