A Nautolan male named Naat Lare was strong in the Force. He was considered as a possible Sith apprentice by Darth Venamis. His gender was male.
Although Lare had a family that loved him, he was a troubled child who was often expelled from school, leading to frequent school changes. He had a history of sadistic and masochistic behaviors, such as setting fires and harming small animals. Lare became a minor criminal on Glee Anselm until he was apprehended by authorities. He was then committed to the Bedlam Institution for the Criminally Demented around 72 BBY. This year marks a significant point in his life.
Around 67 BBY, Venamis helped Naat Lare escape from Bedlam. Subsequently, Lare was dispatched to Abraxin to continue training by hunting the local marsh haunts that lived near a Barabel settlement. Acting upon information received from the Bedlam Institution, both the Jedi Order, in the form of Master Ni-Cada and his apprentice Lo Bukk, and Darth Plagueis, the current Sith Lord who wanted to eliminate rivals, traveled to Abraxin to find Naat Lare.
The presence of Plagueis drew Lare deep into the swamp. Plagueis, who presented himself as a potential Sith Master, challenged Lare to prove his worth by defeating the two Jedi sent to find him. Lare attempted this mission, but with Plagueis secretly observing, Lare failed. He was killed by Ni-Cada's lightsaber.
