Command center (Narkina 5)
The central control hub for the Narkina 5 Prison Complex, which encompassed the entire prison, was the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex command center.
Description
The commander overseeing a given prison cylinder, along with a pair of Imperial technicians, operated the command center. It featured three duty stations, all white, that managed crucial prison-wide operations. These included activating or deactivating the Tunqstoid steel floors and isolating specific levels. The commander's station, exclusively for their use, managed the most critical functions, such as the hydroelectric generator floodgates that powered the entire cylinder and the prison's public address system. Large screens encircled the duty posts, displaying the prisoners' locations as yellow dots on top of detailed black-and-white blueprints of the facility.
History
During the prisoner uprising in one of the cylinders in 5 BBY, a command center suffered an attack, resulting in the death of a command technician. Kino Loy and Cassian Jeron Andor, both inmates at the facility, utilized the room's controls to disable the floors and unlock all seals and doors within the prison, freeing their fellow prisoners.
