A nav droid, alternatively known as a navidroid, functioned as the navigator aboard a starship, classifying it as a type of droid. Notably, in the year 3 ABY, the droid known as Gak-Sixtoo served as the nav droid on the barge belonging to the Hutt Bokku, as well as the Hutt Flagship. The purpose of navdroids was to perform the necessary computations for ships to traverse hyperspace. Furthermore, navidroids were employed to identify and avoid any stray particles overlooked in the calculated routes, allowing for vector corrections.
