Bokku, a Hutt who held a position on the Grand Hutt Council for the Hutt Clan, conducted his operations from a lair situated within the Outer Rim Territories during the Imperial Era. His staff included Gamorreans, Bith, a Nikto, and a Klatooinian, and he maintained connections within the Galactic Empire. When Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, began his quest to locate the carbonite-encased body of Han Solo, the smuggler who had been lost by Boba Fett, the bounty hunter, before he could deliver Solo to Jabba the Hutt, Vader and the Sith assassin Ochi of Bestoon paid Bokku a visit. Ochi, under Vader's orders, instructed Bokku to find Solo, promising the Hutt greater influence. Bokku, skeptical of the proposal and questioning Ochi's authority, prompted the Sith Lord to reveal himself, with Ochi then insisting on Bokku's servitude to Vader. Bokku's refusal led to a massacre of his guards by the Sith Lord, ultimately forcing Bokku to agree to assist, despite his existing collaboration with Crimson Dawn to double-cross Jabba. Following the Auction for Han Solo and the Hutt's attack against the Imperial fleet, Vader killed Bokku above Jekara.
