Attack on the Executor

The Hutt Clan initiated the Attack on the Executor, targeting the Imperial Super Star Destroyer Executor. This event unfolded in the Jekara system, specifically above the planet Jekara, during 3 ABY. The catalyst for this assault was Lord [Bokku]'s effort, a member of the Grand Hutt Council, to reclaim Han Solo, who was encased in carbonite. The Hutts had acquired Solo at an auction orchestrated by Lady Qi'ra of Crimson Dawn. However, Jabba Desilijic Tiure, the Council's leader, handed Solo over to Darth Vader, a Sith Lord, to preserve the alliance between the Empire and the Hutts. Feeling slighted, Bokku commanded an armada of starships to encircle the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle ST-718, the vessel transporting Solo to the Executor, which served as Vader's flagship.

After the Hutts managed to seize control of ST-718 using magclamps, intending to bring it aboard the Hutt Council's war barge, the Empire intervened and successfully recovered the shuttle, eventually returning it to the Executor. Concurrently, Admiral Firmus Piett informed Vader, who was pursuing his son Luke Skywalker in starfighters over Jekara, that Emperor Sheev Palpatine had instructed him to personally address the Hutt threat. Obeying his Master's directive, Vader boarded the Hutt's war barge and killed the Council members present.

Simultaneously, Boba Fett and Beilert Valance, both bounty hunters, infiltrated the Executor independently to capture Solo. They moved through the ship undetected until a KX-series security droid spotted them. Fett eliminated the droid and then betrayed Valance, detonating a thermal detonator near the cyborg, leaving him for dead. Fett proceeded to the detention level where Solo was confined, only to encounter members of the Rebel Alliance led by Leia Organa, who were also attempting to rescue Solo. A missile strike on the ship caused the carbonite-encased Solo to be ejected into space. Fett, utilizing his jetpack, pursued Solo to the planet's surface, capturing him just as he entered an ocean. With his bounty secured, Fett journeyed back to Jabba's Palace on Tatooine to deliver Solo to Jabba.

The Hutt Council's demise resulted in Jabba becoming the sole leader of the Hutt Clan, Crimson Dawn losing significant allies, and a strained relationship between the Hutts and the Empire. Qi'ra exploited this situation by initiating a Syndicate War among the criminal organizations of the galaxy.
