Keven Tarr

Keven Tarr, a technician and slicer, was a male human employed by the Ministry of Technology located on the planet of Hetzal Prime.

Biography

Sometime before 257 BBY, Born, Keven Tarr, as a child, made a discovery: four distinct kinds of grain interacted in a complex way with each other, and a species of insects, previously killed as pests, were actually symbiotic partners for these cereals. His solution involved allowing the plants to grow in the same field, with the insects living among them. This approach enhanced both the amount and quality of the harvest, and also allowed a hybrid fruit to ripen through the interaction of the harvest. Following this initial success, the Hetzalian government entrusted him with more significant projects, including the development of a crop field rotation algorithm and a weather control system. He quickly advanced to a position within the Ministry of Technology, although he still required governmental approval for each new project.

When the Hetzal system faced danger from hyperspace anomalies resulting from the Great Hyperspace Disaster, the ministry dispatched Tarr to assist Minister Zeffren Ecka. By integrating data from the remaining operational satellites, he successfully created a map illustrating the anomalies within the star system. Later, he intercepted a transmission from Jedi Master Avar Kriss, who reassured the people of Hetzal that assistance was forthcoming.

After the Emergence in the Hetzal system had ceased, Keven worked onboard the Third Horizon, monitoring the reconstruction of the Legacy Run.

Later, Tarr accepted a position with the San Tekka clan. After Nihil marauders established the Occlusion Zone and laid claim to ten sectors within the Outer Rim, the Republic sought assistance from the San Tekkas, who in turn sent Tarr to provide support. Tarr spearheaded a Republic Defense Coalition research team tasked with discovering a method to penetrate the Stormwall barrier that enclosed the Occlusion Zone.
