Following his graduation from the Academy of Carida, Governor Dol Donar II, accompanied by his wife Rissa and their newly commissioned officer son Nathan, enjoyed a meal there. Kyle Katarn, a classmate of Nathan's, received an invitation as well. Their meal consisted of green salad, a fresh scone, runyip stew, a berry-garnished leaf dish, and candied insects, a house specialty presented personally by the chef.
Upon learning of the young officer's father's supposed murder at the hands of Rebels, the Governor began loudly cursing them, drawing stares from other diners and causing his wife discomfort, as she feared some present might be Rebels or their supporters. The evening concluded with Lando Calrissian extending an invitation to the governor for a game of sabacc.
