The Nelwyn constituted a race of Near-Humans originating from the planet Andowyne. Their stature was less than that of the Daikini, and their bodily dimensions differed. Considering their resemblances to both the Human and Brownie races also found on Andowyne, a shared lineage among these three groups is highly probable. A particularly significant Nelwyn was Willow Ufgood, a key figure in the downfall of Queen Bavmorda.
On April 1, 2006, StarWars.com refreshed its Databank by incorporating details from the movie and related novels, suggesting that Willow would become part of the official Star Wars narrative. Detailed entries were composed aiming to integrate the film logically into the established timeline of the Star Wars galaxy. Nevertheless, this was exposed as an April Fools' joke two days later, thus rendering it non-canon.
