Neuro-Saav Corporation, often shortened to NeuroSaav, was a major manufacturer whose output spanned numerous sectors, but it gained particular recognition for its electrobinoculars and technologies related to cyborg augmentation.
The core focus of Neuro-Saav's product development was the integration of neurological science with advanced technology. This approach resulted in the creation of various products, including cyborg/droid interface modules, artificial eyes that replaced biological ones, and synthetic internal organs. Despite these advancements, the company's more conventional electronics and communications equipment, advanced imaging solutions, medical bio-technology innovations, and secure military-grade encryption systems held a more prominent position in the market. Certain designs by the company pushed the boundaries of technology so far that they were deemed illegal in numerous star systems, which consequently inflated their value within the black market. Furthermore, Neuro-Saav manufactured a wide array of components that were incorporated into various systems across the galaxy, ranging from ground-based vehicles to massive capital ships and expansive space stations.
Towards the end of the Galactic Republic era, Neuro-Saav established a collaborative partnership with the Tagge Company. This collaboration led to the establishment of BioTech Industries, an experimental cybernetics firm responsible for creating advanced devices like the Borg Construct Aj^6. Due to its association with TaggeCo, Neuro-Saav maintained a favorable standing with the Galactic Empire throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. This connection afforded Neuro-Saav a level of operational autonomy that it had not experienced under the Republic, as it was largely exempt from Imperial mandates and regulatory oversight. Following the Empire's collapse, the New Republic initiated increased scrutiny of cybernetic experimentation, but Neuro-Saav successfully avoided any formal investigations.
Additionally, Neuro-Saav established a subsidiary known as Neuro-Saav Technologies, which specialized in the production of sighting enhancements for various weapon systems.
