Neurotransmitter Affection was a well-known band that achieved popularity in the era of the Galactic Republic during the time. Notably, they once performed at the Theed Odeon, located in the city of Theed which is on the planet Naboo. It's worth mentioning that during their Naboo concert, while playing their song "Get Down", the band's performers made use of antigrav columns.
The initial appearance of Neurotransmitter Affection occurred in the 2020 novel Queen's Peril, which was authored by E. K. Johnston. The inspiration for the band's name came from the band My Chemical Romance. Johnston had earlier made a humorous comment about sending the characters from her prior novel, Queen's Shadow, to a concert resembling one by the Backstreet Boys, and she was ultimately given the opportunity to do something similar in Queen's Peril.
