Nevar, a Brigadier General of male gender, served within the Galactic Empire's military as part of its ground forces. He was in command of the All Terrain Armored Transport walker designated Blizzard 2, a component of Blizzard Force, during the Battle of Hoth; the entire force was under the leadership of General Maximilian Veers. Rebel defenders, specifically Rogue Three (Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson) employing a harpoon and tow cable, brought down Nevar's Blizzard 2; it was the first Imperial walker to fall.
