Doctor Nindle, nicknamed "Doc," was a Mon Calamari operating a medical facility in Ferdan, a settlement situated on Dalna. This occurred around 382 BBY. Shortly before the tragic Night of Sorrow, he conducted an examination of Ric Farazi, concluding that she was probably suffering from poisoning acquired during her time with the Path of the Open Hand. Prior to this, he had provided medical care to a young girl named Garda, who displayed comparable symptoms after consuming food at the Path's charitable soup kitchen. Nindle administered an antitoxin, along with a stim pack, and a defibrillator to Farazi in an attempt to counter the effects; however, due to the unknown nature of the specific toxin involved, his efforts to save her proved unsuccessful.
Nindle and Yvanna, Garda's mother, shared a long-standing friendship, and he had once tried to save Yvanna's husband following a farming incident. In the past, he had also identified her allergy to a particular type of legume.
Nindle communicated his concerns to Sheriff Pickwick, informing him of his suspicion that the Path was responsible for the poisoning of both Farazi and Garda. He later participated in a meeting alongside Pickwick and several Jedi to deliberate on the escalating situation taking place on Dalna.
