Nisotsa was a Jedi Human woman (female) who existed during the eras of both the Jedi Civil War and the Mandalorian Wars.
Around 3963 BBY, when Revan made the choice to involve the Jedi Order in the Mandalorian Wars, Nisotsa was present at a meeting convened by Malak. Others present included Meetra Surik, Bastila Shan, Cariaga Sin, Xaset Terep, and Talvon Esan.
Nisotsa was conflicted between standing with the Jedi Order, who had chosen to remain inactive while numerous innocent people were being massacred, and the Republic's urgent request for assistance. Ultimately, she chose to side with the rebellious Jedi Knights, defying the desires of the Jedi High Council's. This decision contributed to a significant division within the Jedi Order.
In 3951 BBY, Meetra had a vision in the Tomb of Ludo Kressh where Nisotsa appeared. In this vision, she was wielding a yellow lightsaber.
In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a video game, players have the option to select her likeness as that of the Exile. Consequently, the game will then substitute Nisotsa with an alternate player avatar option.
